Hi my name is Young and I am an ABC living in Taiwan. I am bilingual and can help you with your conversational English. If you are interested in learning how to speak to foreigners in social and business settings here in Taiwan or the US or anywhere in the world, I believe there is much I can teach you. I lived in New York City for almost ten years and had worked and interacted with thousands of different kinds of people from all walks of life. From business settings to social gatherings to dating, I can offer you my unique perspective on English conversation and American culture. Teaching goals - help you improve your grammar, vocabulary and usage of phrases and idioms (ex. "that concert was lit") - help you bridge the cultural gap between eastern and western styles of conversation (ex. what does 'go dutch' mean when it's time to pay the restaurant bill?) - help you improve your voice and body language (I am a trained actor from NYC) - help you speak and sound more "American." Every word has a taste, a feel, a smell, an image. How do you express English words with feeling. Rhythms of speech using pauses to build suspense. Class Methodology 1. You pick a topic of conversation and we chat for a few minutes. 2. I give you my feedback and teach you new grammar, vocabulary and idioms. 3. If I see areas where you can improve on your voice and body language I will also give instruction on that. 4. We chat again with the adjustments. 5. I assign homework. Policy on Booking and Cancellation: - If you need to cancel, please do so 12 hours prior to our scheduled class, else the fee becomes non-refundable. - Build your self-confidence in social situations - Learn social techniques like story-telling, rhythms of speech and tone. - Discover your own sense of self-confidence and value through visualization and positive affirmations. My classes are informal, friendly, fun and customized for each student. I do my best to accommodate to each student's individual needs.
